About
Whitehouse Presbyterian Church is a family friendly congregation on the Lough side of the Shore Road, in Newtownabbey, greater Belfast. The church was completely rebuilt when it was destroyed by a fire in August 2002.
Whitehouse has always had good relationships with all sections of the community. However attendees believe the blaze redefined them, as they experienced overwhelming and genuine support, creating even deeper bonds both within and outside the church.
Case Study
Since the rebuilding and official opening in 2002, the church needed an identity to reflect this transformation as well as its historical and cultural roots. The logo had to be acceptable to all members of the congregation and communicate both the growth of the church and the Presbyterian tradition.
Its success can be measured by the ‘buy-in’ of the congregation and recognition from the local community and wider clergy, that the identity now reflects the ethos of the congregation.
