Newtownabbey Borough Council is dedicated to promoting the Borough and surrounding areas, in partnership with Councillors, residents, and businesses for its continued development. NBC Economic Development approached us to develop an effective campaign to promote the 2007 Loughshore Festival, a designated arts and cultural festival along the Lough shore area. Although this is a well-established festival, in previous years it had not ignited the interest it deserved. Our campaign had to reflect the festivals programme, and inspire action from a diverse audience.
Case Study

Our challenge involved a degree of mindset and behavioural shift; helping the organisers ‘buy into’ a new way of looking at the festival and communicating this approach to their audience, plus building trust with our visual thinking. We devised a visual branding that achieved a balance between humour and innovative design. The success of our promotional campaign can be judged, in part, by the ‘buy-in’ from all levels of the team; and feedback from the wider community, as refreshing and a welcome change.
